Q1: Do I have to use this new SIM and the number associated with it as my account number?

Preferably yes. In order to receive the on-going benefit the new SIM should be used as the number to which your SWITCH account is associated. You should complete a cell amendment form with your sales representative to make your new number your SWITCH App number.

Q2: How do I know which Tier I'm on?

You can check your current tier in the SWITCH App – Rewards Section. It shows:

● Your current tier

● Activations done

● Rewards earned

This will only be available at the end of the second month of being on the new SIM.

Q3: When do I get my reward spins?

Spins are given monthly, based on the activation files we receive. We’re working on real-time spins once thresholds are hit.

Q4: What kind of rewards do I win from spins?

Rewards include data and airtime bundles ranging from R5 to R100, depending on your tier.

Q5: What happens if I don’t meet the activation target?

If you do fewer than 15 activations in 3 months, you will lose the monthly benefit.

Q6: Where do the rewards go?

All rewards will be issued directly into your app pocket.

Q7: Can I use the Rewards Voucher to purchase a bundle to activate a SIM and reach the activation criteria?

No, the bundle value will not count towards the activation criteria on a new SIM. The bundle can be used by the winner or sold to a consumer.

1. What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your device. It lets you activate a mobile plan without needing a physical SIM card.

‍2. How does an eSIM work?

Instead of inserting a SIM card, you simply scan a QR code or download the eSIM profile provided by your network. Once activated, your device connects to the mobile network just like with a physical SIM.

4. Which devices support eSIMs?

Ensure your device is eSIM-compatible and unlocked.

-Connect to Wi-Fi.

-Scan the QR code or follow the activation link provided.

-Follow the on-screen prompts to install and activate your eSIM profile.

‍6. How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?

‍Dial *#06# for FREE- if you see an EID number, your device is eSIM ready.

‍7. Can I use both an eSIM and a physical SIM?

‍Yes, if your device supports dual SIM functionality, you can use both at the same time — for example, one for data and one for calls, or for separating work and personal numbers.

‍8. Can I move my eSIM to another device?

‍Yes, but you’ll need to request a new QR code or reactivation from your service provider. eSIMs cannot simply be removed and inserted like a physical SIM.

‍9. What happens if I delete my eSIM profile?

‍If you delete your eSIM from your device, it will deactivate your mobile service. You’ll need to contact customer support to reissue a new eSIM QR code.

‍10. Is an eSIM as secure as a physical SIM?

‍Yes. eSIMs use the same encryption and authentication technology as traditional SIMs, and because they’re embedded in your device, they’re less likely to be lost or tampered with.

‍11. Can I use eSIMs when travelling?

‍Yes! eSIMs are perfect for travellers —you can easily add a local data plan from another provider without removing your main SIM, saving on roaming costs.

‍12. Will I still get the same coverage and speeds? Absolutely, eSIMs connect to the same mobile network as physical SIMs, so your coverage, data speeds, and service quality remain exactly the same.

‍13. Is there any cost to switch to an eSIM?

‍Switching to an eSIM may be free or carry a small activation fee, depending on your plan. Please check with our customer support for details. There is no additional cost to load aTravel eSIM.

‍14. How much is an eSIM?

The cost is dependent on the country and package selected.

‍15. Is it available worldwide or in certain countries?

Travel eSIMs are available for most countries and/or continents.

16. Do I have to RICA a Travel eSIM?

You are not required to RICA a travel eSIM, but you need to provide a valid email address. Travel eSIMs are only active for 90 days.
